Summary

Onverity is a management system for service-based franchises specializing in property repair, maintenance, and enhancement.

While the desktop version is primarily used by admins and franchise owners, the mobile version (also referred to as the ‘field app’) is used by service pros to manage their daily appointments on the go.

Its goal is to assist service pros with managing their day-to-day tasks, which can range from house painting, to home cleanings, to home inspections.

My Role

I focused specifically on enhancing the product’s scheduling and calendar workflows. This was my first time contributing to designing a SaaS platform, which has been a long-time goal of mine as a product designer.

Enhancing this particular feature was a fun challenge for me. Because of rushed timelines, I had to quickly dive into understanding the inner workings of Onverity as a SaaS product and application, as well as understand the specific brand’s needs when it comes to receiving and completing work orders.

At Neighborly, every brand is different because the services it provides are different and may require a different approach.

For Five Star Painting (FSP), they needed the ability to see multiple service pros’ (SP) calendars in the field app and reassign appointments if necessary.

We referenced multi-calendar products like Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook to see how their UI solves for this capability, and then incorporated the core needs of Onverity (reassigning, viewing work orders, etc) to the workflow in order to design this feature.
