ROLE
Web Designer
At the start of this project, Jungle Studio Fitness was limited to one location in the Bishop Arts District, but had plans to open a new studio in Fort Worth, Texas in early 2025. In anticipation of expanding the Jungle brand, the CEO wanted to give the existing Jungle website a complete facelift and serve as a hub for all Jungle Studio Fitness entities and concepts.
Pain Points
> Jungle and Temple were separate sites which became hard to manage on the backend, and frustrating for clients with dual studio membership to go between two different websites to book classes
> Jungle’s website was sparse in terms of content and its information didn’t align with its social media presence, which confused new and returning clients booking classes through the website
> Overall look and branding did not reflect an elevated fitness experience
Redesign Goals
> Optimize mobile design since majority of clients land on the site via Instagram or other social media apps
> Restructure the website to where clients can easily and quickly switch between studios
> Centralize the Jungle brand so clients can access information from one spot
Each Jungle location now has its own page and is accessible from one central location, whereas before, all entities were separate websites, making it difficult for users who had dual memberships to book classes and manage schedules and accounts.
On each studio page, I incorporated minimal animation effects to emphasize the subtle elegance of the Jungle brand. I also tied the navigation on each studio page to its own section, making it easier for the user to quickly find what they’re looking for, whether it’s membership pricing, or booking a class.
I put a lot of emphasis on optimizing the mobile experience by placing a dropdown button in the navigation bar so users could easily switch between studios. No scrolling, no searching, just a couple of quick taps.
I also made the informational content more interactive and visually appealing; for example, instead of a grid of instructors, I made a carousel where you can hover over each teacher to see a quick bio. For the memberships, I condensed the information into tabs so the user can decide which membership best suits their needs, whether they are a new or returning client.
